Davisville Village Neighbourhood
Located directly north of Mt. Pleasant cemetery, Davisville Village is a spirited and densely populated neighbourhood offering a mix of residential and commercial. Its central location, along both Yonge Street and Mount Pleasant Road between uptown and midtown Toronto means great access to shops, services, and transit.
Strong public schools, community meeting places, parks, subway access, and the vibrant Mount Pleasant shopping district knit together a community of families, singles, professionals, and business owners.
Davisville Village Homes
Davisville Village has an energy all its own due in part to the unique blend of uptown residential feel and midtown hustle and bustle. The area is known for a mix of residential duplex, detached and semi-detached homes built mostly in the solid brick construction style of the 1920’s and 1930’s. A second wave of mixed residential and commercial/office construction since the 1970’s has introduced a wide array of high-rise apartment buildings, office buildings, and upscale condominium complexes.
Davisville Village Real Estate Market
Due to the wide selection of housing types in Davisville Village (detached homes, semi-detached homes, apartments and condos), not surprisingly, real estate in the area covers quite a wide range of pricing. Featured two years in a row in Toronto Life Magazine’s ‘Where to Buy Now’ real estate guide, Davisville Village is consistently touted as the last remaining pocket of affordable housing along the Yonge Street strip. Davisville’s dense and varied demographic makes it a relatively safe and sustainable real estate investment.
