The Harris and Walker team has a long history of community involvement in  Toronto.  From builds with Habitat for Humanity, to silent auctions and local school fun fairs, our business philosophy embraces the responsibility to contribute and care for our community.

Pandemic Food Security Support

When the pandemic forced the lockdown in Toronto in late March, the Harris and Walker team immediately began to search for ways to support our community.  Beyond navigating the terrifying uncertainty that many of our clients encountered, we wanted to ensure that the vulnerable in our city were receiving the support they needs.  The Harris and Walker team donated to The Good Food Access Fund, organized by Community Food Centres Canada to help alleviate food insecurity in the city.  We were proud to make this donation on behalf of our clients.

Gimme Shelter: Fundraiser in Support of Shelter Movers

The Harris and Walker team in collaboration with Rag Doll Eatery will be hosting a fundraiser in support of Shelter Movers on June 6th.  Doors open at 6:30pm.  The event offers a live band, fabulous food and drink, a great silent auction and more!  No door ticket purchase necessary.

Shelter Movers is a volunteer based nonprofit organization that provides moving and storage services at no cost to women and children experiencing abuse.  They collaborate with community partners in Toronto, Ottawa and Vancouver to help families transition to a life free of abuse.

Fall Fundraising

The Harris and Walker team donates regularly to local fundraisers.  Recently, we donated a Local Business gift basket to Hodgson Sr. Public School's largest annual fundraiser, the Bid 'n Brew.  All funds raised are earmarked for improvements in technology, the music program and library resources.    The event is being held at Seven44 Restaurant and Lounge on Wednesday, November 23rd at 7pm.  The auction is online at https://www.32auctions.com/bidnbrew2016.  There are great items available so please have a look!

We are staunch supporters of our local and independent businesses in Toronto.  These entrepreneurs, from small and local storefronts to the larger local initiatives, bring vibrancy and liveability to our city.  We endeavour to support them through our work, as well as our personal lives.
